DEVON BELL TENT HIRE T&C’S

Please read through these terms and conditions carefully as this is the agreement you make as (THE HIRER) when you make a booking with Devon Bell Tent Hire (THE COMPANY)

INTRO
The hirer must be at least 18 years of age.
The hirer accepts responsibility for all equipment supplied by the company during the agreed hire period.
It is the hirers responsibility to ensure that the terms and conditions are adhered to.
By making a booking and completing a payment you agree to these terms and conditions.
Devon Bell Tent Hire cannot be held accountable for any acts of god, including adverse weather conditions, flooding, high winds or any other unforeseen circumstances. In the event that the company has to cancel a booking a full refund will be given.

DELIVERY
Delivery within a 10 mile radius (from EX7, Dawlish) is free of charge anything over 10 miles is charged at 50p per mile for each journey. (4 ways)

SITE
It is the hirers responsibility to ensure that the site in which the equipment is to be erected is suitable. Things to consider:
The site should be as flat as possible.
There should be appropriate access.
There should be no debris or obstruction eg. Bushes, low hanging branches.
The area should not be susceptible to flooding.
If the equipment is to be erected on grass then the grass should not be too long, any grass cuttings should be removed.
In order to be correctly erected, the plot should be at least 7x7 meters.
The ground on which the tent is to be pitched should be clear of rocks, rubble and twigs.
Hirer must have permission and/or have paid pitch rental for site.
If the site is deemed unsuitable and our guidance has not been followed then the company can refuse to complete the booking, in this instance a refund will not be given.

PAYMENT
A £50 non-refundable deposit per tent is required, this will secure your booking. The remaining balance is due no later than 28 days prior to the agreed hire date.

We require a £100 returnable damage deposit per tent, providing there is no damage or no cleaning required to the hired equipment then this will be bank transferred into the hirers chosen bank account within 5-10 working days following the hire date.

CANCELLATION
If the hirer chooses to cancel their booking and we are informed outside of 28 days of the agreed hire date, the hirer will be charged £50.
If the hirer chooses to cancel their booking between 28-14 days of the hire date then a 50% refund will be given.
If the hirer chooses to cancel their booking within 14 days of the agreed hire date then no refund will be given.
If for any reason the company are forced to cancel then a full refund will be refunded to the hirer.

HIRERS RESPONSIBILITY
No smoking/vaping in or within close proximity of the tents.
No open flames in or within close proximity of the tents. Eg. Disposable barbecues, fire bowls, cooking equipment.
No footwear to be worn inside the tent.
All rubbish should be removed from the tent .
No paint, glitter, permanent markers, felt-tip pens should be used within the tent.
Nothing should be attached to the canvas or centre pole without prior permission.
The equipment shall be left in a clean and tidy state.
Hired equipment should not be left outside overnight or in adverse weather conditions.
The tent door should be closed when not being used.
We DO allow dogs in our tents but it is the hirers responsibility to ensure no damage is caused by their dogs.
Any damage that exceeds the £100 (per tent) returnable deposit shall be invoiced to the hirer.
